During the accumulation phase, an annuity functions much like other savings vehicles. During the distribution phase, if elected, the insurance company guarantees to pay a lifetime income to the annuitant, or the annuitant may elect an income for a specified period of years. b) IRA: Available as both Traditional and Roth. 3) Disability Income Protection: Flexible elimination and benefit periods available, covers client for total disability due to a covered Accident or Illness, covers client at home or in the hospital. 4) Whole Life Insurance: This plan guarantees level death benefit up to age 100, guarantees level premium and cash value accumulation. Coverage can be maintained for a client's lifetime and can be covered after leaving employment.
