American Family Insurance offers a wide variety of products and services in the areas of auto, home, umbrella, health, life, business, farm/ranch, and travel insurance. With regard to its life insurance division, the company offers individual IRA account services, immediate annuities, and deferred annuities. General products under life insurance and annuities include:
1) Term Life Insurance: Provides financial protection for temporary obligations or can provide an option for protection in a time when permanent life insurance is unaffordable. Clients can also choose to supplement a new or existing permanent life insurance plan with Level Term Life Insurance. Conversion to a permanent plan at a later date may be allowed. The minimum issue amount of Level Term Life is $100,000. Three policies are available offering a guaranteed level premium for either 10, 20 or 30 years depending on the policy term chosen.
2) Universal Life Insurance: Universal Life insurance from American Family Insurance provides permanent long-term protection. A Universal Life insurance policy can be issued from ages 0-80 and offers death benefit protection to age 100.
3) IRAs: Offers both Traditional and Roth RIAs.
4) Immediate Annuity: An immediate annuity from American Family Insurance can provide a steady source of funds to supplement other income sources. The annuity is set up by a client's deposit of one initial premium payment into the immediate annuity to fund periodic income payments. They receive steady payments based on the time period they prefer. Options include monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual payments.
5) Deferred Annuity: With many long-term accumulation products the interest or dividends are fully taxable in the year they are earned. Individuals who own an American Family Insurance1 Flexible Premium Deferred Annuity can accumulate funds and earn tax deferred interest until retirement or other long-term goals are met.
6) Retirement Plan Rollovers: When an individual rolls over his/her money from a previous employer's retirement plan to an IRA, it will continue to accumulate tax-deferred until he/she withdraw it. An IRA gives the client personal control and direction over his/her money. Customers have the option to receive payments immediately or defer them until a future date.
