Indexed annuities like the Masterdex 10 Plus can be difficult to understand, but the core value proposition of upside potential combined with downside protection is compelling.
Our sales of indexed annuities have surged over the past several years.
Many of our customers have had it with the ups and downs (mostly downs) of the stock market. They don't want to lose money, but they also want to have some return on their investments.
Although low interest rates complicate things, all financial products and annuities are affected in the same way.
It also helps to have a large, well known insurance company behind the product. Allianz is a leader in the indexed annuity market and they also are strong in the investment field through their ownership of Pimco.
Overall, we have many happt clients in indexed annuities such as the Masterdex--especially those who purchased the product several years ago.
