Unemployment and Longevity

An article in the Huffington Post refers to a study linking long-term unemployment to longevity.

Not surprisingly, there is an inverse correlation: longer or higher levels of unemployment correlate to decreasing longevity.

Stress, depression and lack of access to funding for healthcare all contribute to in increase likelihood of serious illness and the possibility of a shorter lifespan.
