There was clearly a ton of time and effort invested into the 36 demos at the recent Finovate conference in San Francisco.
Not easy to get up on stage and speak for 7 minutes in front of a crowd of 500 people.
The following comments and impressions pertain to the actual demos rather than the companies themselves (the most interesting companies were discussed in a separate post):
Kabbage: Actually applied for and received credit funding during the demo (while also providing an overview of the company)--impressive.
Bobber Interactive: Again, not entirely sure this is a working product, but the demo was full of eye candy and flawless in terms of execution.
Expensify: Great energy and enthusiasm—hard not to like them.
MPower: Similar to Kabbage, a great example of the product at work (an actual funds transfer completed) during the course of the demo.
Silver Tail Systems: Just a very polished, buttoned-up demo that was clear and compelling.
