Mark Iwry Seems to Appear Bullish on Longevity Annuities

Investment News reports that public officials met with retirement income industry executives at the MetLife benefits symposium in Washington.

Mark J. Iwry--a senior advisor to the Treasury Secretary--spoke on the issues and challenges surrounding annuitization of private pension plan assets.

Some of Iwry's comments also appeared to be favorable with respect to longevity annuities, a highly leveraged and efficient form of deferred annuity that is still relatively new.
